How much does food cost in Torremolinos Restaurants?
Torremolinos Food and Drink prices are always an open discussion. There are so many restaurants around and of different quality, that finding a middle one is quite a task.
If you are on a budget, and planning to have a lunch daytime, then go for a Menu del Dia. These are offered in many Torremolinos Restaurants: from the fancy ones to the simple tapas bars.
Ask for the menú del día to get a 3-course meal and drink, for less than €14
The menú del día was first introduced in 1965, when the government passed a law ensuring that restaurants offered one – the idea was that anyone would be able to get a proper lunch at a reasonable price. It’s no longer law, but it’s still widely offered.
Torremolinos Food and Drink Prices vary from place to place, but menu del dia is not very expensive. In the old town of Torremolinos some tapas bars will offer you a good menu del dia for €10.00, for example Javi’s in calle Casablanca or for just €10.90 you get a very fresh and light Champagne Lunch, including cotton napkins and a glass of Champagne at El Gato restaurant, direct overlooking the sea. Many Carihuela Restaurants offer fish related menu del dia for around € 12.00
If you are on a budget, then menu del dia is really something to try in Torremolinos.
Technically the menú del día is just for weekday lunchtimes, though many restaurants will have a similar menu at the weekend too. It’s generally a set menu. There will usually be three courses and it usually includes a drink – sometimes wine. Some places only offer two courses and no drinks though, while others add tax to the price, so check.
